My kiddos love spending time with their grandmas, but unfortunately, they don’t live close by and their visits are not very often! In my family’s case, my mother passed prior to my children being born. Doing activities with my mom is one of my best memories, and I know that as a grandmother she would have baked and craft with my babies as well! Gramma in a Box was created as a way to keep that connection strong, even when distance or an inability to be there keeps visits from happening.
Gramma in a Box was developed by a lovely grandma, whose grandchildren were moving far away. She was wanting to keep a connection with her grandchildren and had started doing activities with them via Skype. After sharing this idea with friends she decided to develop a monthly box that could be sent so that grandparents could do an activity with their grandchildren. Rather it is in person, or via modern-day technology (ie Skype/zoom!)
Gramma in a Box includes baked cookies with frosting and sprinkles as well as two easy candy crafts to make – enough to make up to 20 finished products in each box.
My kiddos range in age from 11 to 3, and all enjoyed the July box. It included everything we could need, and left a little mess for me to clean up. The instructions were easy to follow, and each task could be done with ease by each of my young children.
First up was chocolate dipped pretzels. My oldest helped melt the chocolate in the microwave. We had a bit of trouble getting it to meltdown, but quickly made a double boiler and it was an easy fix! They dipped their pretzels and rolled them in festive sprinkles! Giggles and some sprinkle eating ensued.
Next up came the Star Spangled Krispie Bites. I was able to divide this into two bowls. One of my little’s has a peanut allergy, so we made half of them with peanuts and half without! My 3 year old enjoyed stirring all the goodies up, and licking her fingers after!
Last, and probably the most favorite in the box, came cookie icing and decorating. Each one took the time to make their cookie look it’s very best. They wanted to show them off when we went to visit family the following day and they were very proud to show off their creations.
Better yet, Gramma in a Box is offering an amazing deal to us! Use the code 10off at check out and save $10 off your 3, 6, or 12 month subscription! Each month comes with new and exciting activities, so while the July box will no longer be available to order, August will surely be just as amazing as July was.

I have heard about Gramma in a box, but never knew someone that actually received a box. Thank you for the honest review.
