Let The Kids Help Plan A #DisneyKids Party And There Will Be Nothing But Smiles

Have you ever had a great party idea or theme, start researching and get completely overwhelmed? Yeah me either 😉 But seriously, with Pinterest and social media, it is easy to get quickly overwhelmed with picture perfect parties. Let me share with you my tip on keeping my sanity. Keep your options open. Obviously, if you’re throwing a party for a small child, they will have a large say in what they want, however, once they choose the theme, the rest is up to you. In the end, your kiddo will love what you’ve done regardless if it’s a $50 party or an extravagant affair.

I had an awesome opportunity to throw my kiddos and their friends a Disney Preschool Playdate Party. Disney was generous enough to send a trunk (literally, luggage) full of goodies to get us started. My head started spinning with all the grand things I could do. Pinterest showed immaculate hand made everything. Then I asked my five year old what was most important to him. You know what he told me? He wanted to watch Mickey Mouse and eat his favorite snack (popcorn). I took a deep breath and told him whatever he wanted!

We planned a preschool party, but really, we knew more than that age group would be joining in. Our small party for 10 turned into parents staying, neighbors stopping by and older siblings admitting that Disney was “pretty cool”! We had made fun invites with HP and the awesome MyPrintly. The adults were extra excited when I shared the parent goodie bags with HP Social Media Snapshot Photo Pack.

After I started decorating, I realized just how fun and easy it was to make this party all Disney. Other than what was provided, we got goodies at the dollar store, used already owned decorations and stuffed animals and purchased some items we’ll use time and time again (because who doesn’t want Mickey shaped foods?!) The best part was, the kids and I had fun choosing what to do and add, with very low stress.

All the kids (and kids at heart) had an amazing time, and we all walked away with fun memories of the day. And my son? He watched two different Disney movies and ate a whole bag of Pop Secret on his own. Success. And even though this particular party was aimed at preschoolers, our whole family was spoiled by Disney magic. We also received a beautiful American Tourister Princess Sophia suitcase, a colorful Dory PillowPet, SoftSoap for cleaning up, and Pop Secret for snacking).
