Now that the new school year is underway, we all are getting settled into our new routines. Most mornings, my family and I have a pretty specific routine to make sure we all get out the door on time. For the most part, our preparation begins the night before. I have to make sure I’ve checked homework, signed the kid’s folders and asked them to prep their bookbags for the morning. The kids then check the lunch menu for the next day as to decide if they’ll buy a meal or need to pack. I need to know if they choose to pack, so I know what extra I’ll need to do the next morning. We plan outfits after showers and double check alarms.
I wake up in the morning full knowing what all I need to do to make sure I am up and ready and the kid’s are set up for success for the day. My son usually will pick lunch at school. If he’s not a fan of the main lunch options, he’ll choose the deli plate, a salad or another option at school. My daughter on the other hand is extremely picky with her lunch. She eats at a pretty early period (10:45AM) so we’re also able to pack an additional snack or treat for an afternoon pick me up. I want to make sure there’s something that is enough to curb hunger, but isn’t filled with unnessary sugars. Luckily, we’v both found MadeGood.
MadeGood is made with all-natural ingredients from dried fruits and whole grains. What I know, is that they taste good, my daughter requests them and she can enjoy them around her friends that may have alergies. Since MadeGood is in a facility free from the 8 most common allergens, I know she’s not putting her classmates in harms way.
Another way we prepare for the school year inevitable is to properly label things! We have to label every.single.school.supply for the classroom. But then, the things that travel back and forth or frequently get left, we label those things too. Thanks to Mabel’s Labels, its a breeze to lay claim to our most prized possessions. I know the name implies labels, but the company is so much more! The offer stickers, ID bracelets, clothing stamps and more. I LOVE the combo packs with different sized labels. We usually do a pack with just our last name, then I can label a plethora of things for all three of the kids. We’ve labeled supplies, shoes, bookbags and lunchboxes, bento boxes, jackets and more things that I’m not even thinking about. For organization and keeping things out of lost and found, the assist goes to Mabel’s Labels.
