Do you know all those memes that depict sleep deprived mothers and say but first coffee? They were made for me. I can function without coffee… it just may not be pretty. For the past couple of years, I have been using a single cup coffee maker. It really had been sufficient enough, because I am the only one who drinks coffee. I didn’t want to worry about recipes and specialty coffees right away, so as soon as I had it plugged in, I made myself a cup. I had forgotten with pod type brewers how much of the crisp, fresh taste you lose. I love that I can choose whatever coffee I like. I am so happy it has a permanent reusable filter, so no more buying the flimsy paper ones unless I’m making snowflakes for the windows with the kids. I’m grateful that the coffee bar came with a 20 recipe booklet because I wouldn’t have known where to start. Some of my favorite drinks so far have been the Coffee, Cookies and Cream Frappe, Café Martini and the Coconut Caramel Iced Coffee.
