September To Remember With Tootsie Roll Hot Chocolate!

The beginning of September brings all of the fall excitement with it. We’re looking ahead to pumpkin everything, hayrides, cool football evenings and weekends, flannel and all the bonfire fun. However, where we are in Ohio, we’re having second summer. Although all the decorations and out and ready for autumn, our attitudes, clothing and activities are still saying summer!

Although I am relishing in the last days (weeks hopefully) of summer, I am longing for the fun fall feel. Bonfires aren’t the same when you’re in shorts and sweating outside. And attending football games is synonymous with jeans and your favorite team sweatshirt, whether it’s highschool, pro, college, peewee or all of the above! Then my mind starts to drift to the seasonal foods and flavors of fall. Pumpkin roll, sweet potatoes, cobblers and all the hot chocolate.

As much as I love to say I steep all my own freshly melted chocolate, sometimes (most times) I just want a quick cup of chocolatey goodness. This is where I’ve now turned to Tootsie Roll brands of hot chocolate. They even come in K-cup format and are easy to brew and enjoy. Tootsie Roll you say? Yes, it smells and tastes exactly as you’d imagine. You know that excitement you get unrolling that nostalgic piece of candy? You can get that with each brew. My personal favorite at the moment is to top it with a little whipped cream and call it finished. With this late summer heat however, I may start experimenting with it as a cold brew, still with whipped cream of course! Are you drooling now, wanting to try a cup?
